Your husband is a very luck man! Auto theft usually carries more than just a three month sentence. As for him being a "young offender" I don't know exactly what that is supposed to mean. In the USA, at the age of 19 he is/would have been an adult and would have been tried as such. Had he been convicted of the offensive, which he evidently was since he was sentenced, he would actually be a convicted felon. You have neglected to mention where you are now living and to where you wish to emigrate. If, by chance, you live outside the USA and are trying to immigrate to the USA, then your chances are slim to none, as I don't believe that convicted felons are welcome to immigrate. We have enough convicted felons of our own without importing them!
